The classification in AOP and IGP guarantees naming and their origins. The AOP (Protected designation of origin) is wines produced on a bounded territory and which according to human and natural factors present particular organoleptic qualities. The IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) is local wines. A specification sets the conditions of their production. These wines can carry one or several grape varieties.
